I'm a long time member of Active and Ageless at Hurstville and I'm thrilled that Canterbury can now share in our good fortune.All the classes are fanrastic and all areas of the body are given a good workout. You work to your capabilities and slowly improve with every class.The instructors are never pushy and they are there to help and guide you to get the most out of each class.The instructors, lead by Heath are all experienced and fully trained to help you reach your goals. The equipment is all top notch and the programs are all varied, concentrating on different areas of the body.If you've been thinking it's time to improve your health and fitness, give Active and Ageless a go. Seriously you won't regret it.

Heath and the team of expert and caring instructors have enabled me to improve my bone strength after breaking my hip, and my flexibility is also improving. I have been coming for over three years and have never looked back. Not only are the instructors supporting and caring, but the whole class is a fun place to be. If you are new to the gym, all exercises are explained and you will be encouraged once you get the hang of it, to push yourself ..safely under guidance. Give it a go, its fun and rewarding.

The best gym I have ever been to. A&A have helped me build my strength and fitness. The classes are really good with a great variety of exercises and wonderful instructors. I've made wonderful friends. There is a great community atmosphere within the gym. Highly recommended!

I have trained with Heath and the Team @ Active and Ageless for over 4 years. As a result I am stronger and fitter, both in mind and body! There is also the strong A&A community where we get together for socials and we always learning at the A&A educational informational seminars with special guest speakers.We love A&A

Frequently Asked Questions

Our gym is designed specifically for mature adults and seniors, offering age-adjusted exercises and specialist equipment that you wouldn’t find in other regular gyms.

We offer a variety of styled classes including low-impact aerobics, strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance workouts. All classes are led by experienced trainers who understand the unique needs of older adults.

The classes are 45-minutes in duration.

We always recommended seeking approval from your local doctor prior to commencing any training.  Whilst we are trained to manage an immediate injury, this ensures you are safe and do not cause any further damage.

Please bring a valid ID, comfortable workout clothing, athletic shoes, a water bottle, and any necessary medications or medical information. If you have any specific health concerns, please inform our staff before starting any exercise program.
