Last year, after undergoing major surgery, I looked around for a local Hurstville gym where I could continue my rehab.Heath, a former nurse, has created a great community of like-minded seniors who all have the same goal of improving their fitness.I'm so pleased I joined and I look forward to my Active Foundation classes each week.

Being fit is not an easy task. We always find excuses not to do it such as: we do not have time, it is too hard, it is boring and whatever else we can think of just not to do it.Joining Active and Ageless changed this. I could not believe I ended up being interested going to the gym. The reason is simple: The exercises and activities are designed considering the following:- People above 50s can do it- Address all areas of the body- Not difficult to follow- Accurate timings utilised- Interesting moves- Most importantly, it is FUNActive & Ageless is not just about being fit. It is knowing that the trainers, namely Heath, Jas & Jordan (and I am pretty sure even the future ones) truly care and treat us like family.

I have been a member for over one year. It is a great experience here. It not only has great and friendly coaches, Heath, Jas, Jordon ..., they provide various trainings so that I can develop my strength, and flexibility systematically. Inspiring trainers, friendly environment and friendly members. When you’re over 50, going to the gym can be a bit daunting but noone judges and we’re all older with the aim of fitness and strength. There’s classes for everyone and you workout at what suits your ability. I’m glad I joined.

Since joining Active & Ageless over 50's both my wife and I have most definitely increased our levels of fitness.Active & Ageless is not just another gym Heath, Michelle and the team are there to guide all of us, push us and help us reach our goals whatever they be for every individual.Heath and the team bring in specialists to do talks on how important fitness is for over 50's, and the entire team hold events throughout the year, including a Christmas 🎄 gathering.I absolutely believe that if your over 50 and going to another gym your wasting your money and time, Active and Ageless is the place to be, and if your over 50 and considering joining a gym 🏋️‍♀️ do yourself a favour 😉 and join today.

Before coming to this gym I couldn't walk down stairs straight, I went down sideways one step at the moment. I constantly had sore knees, now after 3 months I'm so flexible I can do also everything.Where can you get a personal trainer for $49.00 because this is what your getting.The trainers are always ready willing and able to help. Awesome trainers, awesome equipment. Awesome place, would highly recommend it to anyone.

Love going. I’ve gone from ‘definitely NOT a gym person’ to going several times a week. My flexibility and energy level has improved and the increased muscle strength has helped a lot with my long standing knee and back problems. Trainers friendly and always making sure the exercises are tailored to my specific needs. The rest of the clients are great and overall it’s an enjoyable experience with great long term benefits .

Having looked around my area for a gym that suited my needs, Active & Ageless came along at just the right time. I love the relaxed atmosphere and have enjoyed every one of my sessions, earlier on with Heath who was excellent and now with Ariel who is exceptional and such fun! Heath and the team at Active & Ageless have created a fun and friendly environment where everyone can feel comfortable working out no matter what their level of fitness may be.The team are incredibly knowledgeable and provide plenty of advice to make sure you're using the right technique to avoid any injuries.The classes have plenty of variety within the structure to keep it fun and fresh and if you're finding one of the exercises a bit too difficult...or too easy...they'll give you an alternative option to suit your needs and fitness level.It's fantastic to walk into a gym where the team know your name and what you need instead of just scanning a card and being another unknown face and number on their books.

Active and Ageless is a fantastic gym which has state of the art strength equipment and excellent cardio machines, but even more importantly trainers that develop excellent programs for you and encourage you all the way. I cannot recommend them more highly .

Really enjoying my sessions. Super friendly and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, state of the art equipment and best of all, noone checking themselves out in the mirrors or hogging machines. Plus being classes only adds to the incentive to get along. Highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our gym is designed specifically for mature adults and seniors, offering age-adjusted exercises and specialist equipment that you wouldn’t find in other regular gyms.

We offer a variety of styled classes including low-impact aerobics, strength training, flexibility exercises, and balance workouts. All classes are led by experienced trainers who understand the unique needs of older adults.

The classes are 45-minutes in duration.

We always recommended seeking approval from your local doctor prior to commencing any training.  Whilst we are trained to manage an immediate injury, this ensures you are safe and do not cause any further damage.

Please bring a valid ID, comfortable workout clothing, athletic shoes, a water bottle, and any necessary medications or medical information. If you have any specific health concerns, please inform our staff before starting any exercise program.
